The economic and environmental cost of wind generated power is becoming clearer to investors as they back away from more projects, both overseas, on Australian soil and off-shore.
Following on from my speech last week drawing attention to financial losses in the wind energy scam, I speak about what’s behind these unravelling, expensive Net Zero operations.
It’s time to look again at clean coal.

As a servant to the many different people who make up our one Queensland community, it has been only a few weeks since my last speech drawing attention to financial losses and failures in the wind energy scam. Today, we have more. Europe’s largest onshore wind turbine installation, Markbygden, has filed for bankruptcy protection. If completed, it would have consisted of 1,101 wind turbines and 750 kilometres of access roads. Escalating construction costs meant the project can no longer bid electricity into the grid at a price the grid operator can afford.
As I explained last week, there are not enough mines to mine the materials, not enough steel mills to make the steel nor enough special-purpose ships to bring them across the world. This is just economic cost. The environmental cost no longer factors into the equation. As an example, the Clarke Creek Wind Farm west of Rockhampton hit the news in the last two weeks, when their environmental impact study caused real environmentalists, like One Nation, outrage. The environmental impact statement admitted that the most severe impact of the proposal will be on the skulls of any koalas beaten to death for trespassing on the project’s land.
Offshore wind in Australia has had a bad week, too, with BlueFloat withdrawing their plans for offshore wind in the Shoalhaven area of New South Wales. BlueFloat’s proposal was for a 359 square kilometre area with 105 turbines located 14 to 30 kilometres of the Illawarra coastline. Each turbine would have a diameter of 275 metres and feed into three offshore substations. What an insane idea. One strong storm, and the whole lot winds up on the beach. Saltwater corrosion repair now accounts for 30 per cent of the levelised cost of electricity from offshore wind turbines. Offshore wind is unprofitable from the perspective of construction and maintenance costs.
It’s time to have another look at clean coal before the green movement has us all sitting in the dark with a fridge full of inedible, spoiled food.
This was doomed to failure right from the very start similar to captain Bligh’s ( Anna Bligh) hair brained desal plant in tugun scheme . The big question is when this does fail will its running continually be funded by taxpayers to keep it going or left to rust out at sea ?
There needs to be a parliamentary body that stops these idiots on the path of destroying this country before it happens .
Rick
Unfortunately, Rick, a parliamentary body would be no more than an echo chamber for their fellow clowns.
Malcolm hi
Is the Federal Government cancelling funding for roads etc so it can INCREASE funding for wasteful climate infrastructure (wind solar etc)????
Thank you for your honesty and integrity within your good work
“POWER” to One Nation & all sane Australians. Has there been one sensible successful financially viable project the the greenies landed on us?
They are so worried about emissions, but they are doing a marvellous job of increasing them. The Chinese need more coal fired power stations to keep up with demand.
Thank you Malcolm, again, One Nation( Malcolm ) came to FNQ to listen to our concerns regarding Wind,Turbine Generators decimating our environment and we are now fighting against another proposal directly next to the World Heritage Rain Forest. Insanity. It is time for Labor to STOP ALL WTGs and SPGs and upgrade current coal and gas generators and build Nuclear SMRs and MMRs. Chris Bowen is flat out lying about Nuclear. He reads the magazine NO IDEA. The WTGs in our area have been commisioned and are only operating occasionaly at about 10% of capacity. When a bushfire happens ( which we have had many recently ) they all shut down. Add that to cyclones and another shut down requirement then what advantages are there for them ? Labor have no understanding of the technologies and ALL of the costs including the environment. Climate Change is just Socialist propaganda. We need Nuclear SMRs and MMRs NOW !! Its cheaper, cleaner and safe.
Many Labor/Greens in my area dont want renewables. Those parties dont respect their supporters.
VOTE ONE NATION.
As i,m known to damian and i respect what you have achieved and attempting to, NEVER EVER have i seen such a incompetent arrogant RABBLE since i voted in 1962 at the age of 21, all of this FEEL good BULLSHIT started with witless whitlam and has continued on thru Hawke keatting rudd and a few terms of liberal to let this country get to the point of NO RETURN GOOD luck because thats all we have at the moment .
Great work Malcolm, we have to keep the pressure on Labor on energy matters because that is their weak link in the cost of living chain. Of course the other is the climate science scam who you have soldiered on with since 2015, these clowns have to brought to account soon, before the renewables push ruins us all. If wind farms appear to be off the table, then we must get coal and gas back into the breech.
You may look forward to my eBook coming out on Amazon in several weeks. Title is Climate Science-A Sceptical Review. You feature prominently in the Australian Politics section.
If Climate change was Real The Banks Wouldn’t Lend Money for a Beach Front Propertys, It’s the Biggest Scam in History, It’s all about Making More money by Taxes from Nothing.
Until we have intelligent, clear thinking and research minded politicians and bureaucrats at all levels this insanity will continue. No doubt these same people as children destroyed their playmates toys if they didn’t a) find them comprehensible or b)needed to dominate games at all cost.
I am thoroughly sick of these opiniated but uninformed children pretending to represent what we their constituents really want. Politics is an easy way to push their pet projects, feasible or more often not, onto a public most of whom are more interested in Taylor Swifts antics or similar. We,as voters, must become more aware and demand better standards or Australia is doomed to poverty and mediocrity.
All power to the thinking realists such as One Nation supporters though with our pathetic voting system that will never happen. One person one vote.
Seems like if there is a problem anywhere then it’s the fault of climate change. Apparently climate change is the reason why there are excess deaths from heart attacks. See, climate change is to blame for all our woes.
