While Local Alice Springs ABC reporters have been congratulated, the ABC has had to apologise for unbalanced reports from its capital city journalists that falsely left the impression a meeting of locals was about white supremacy.

Adding to that, the ABC presents Bruce Pascoe’s ‘Dark Emu’ book filled with exaggerations and some outright lies about aboriginal history on an education site for kids. The ABC receives over $1 billion of your money every year to present fair and balanced reporting, it doesn’t seem like value for money to me.

The ABC will continue to get away with its bias and mendacious treatment of events. It’s personnel are Marxist Green whose strict ideology is the deconstruction of the West. The ABC doesn’t need reforming it needs to be defunded and dissolved.

Exactly GlenM, they are conducting a relentless war to get Aborigines special treatment no matter how little they do to help themselves. Their goal is the treaty where we pay them rent forever.

It really doesn’t seem fair that the 30% should get all this attention, millions of dollars, the Uluru statement, the Voice, ‘Truth telling’ which I heard was all about the ‘Rescued Generation’ NOT ‘Stolen’, where many of them would not be with us today if it hadn’t happened, as they were badly neglected and not fed by parents. then demand a Treaty which I have read is not even legal, as they were made between nations. Just calling themselves ‘1st Nation’ does not make them a nation. We are being scammed into a black takeover by people who are of mostly half white parentage apparently. They are wanting a ‘black parliament’ when they can’t even police their own people. God help us all.

It appears the abc is an attack dog for labor in Australia the same as big tech is for the democrats in USA.
    abc Television should be defunded

The ABC / SBS is a waste of taxpayers money and should be privatized. It ceased balanced reporting many years ago about the time global warming became fashionable.

It’s not just the ABC that is biased, all Australian msm is. The main difference is the others only tell half the truth instead of reporting the full story and letting the readers or listeners come to their own conclusions .

ABC is supposed to be non bias, but they appear to be very bias, and seems to be top heavy with executives so should be shut down.

The Australian ABC has had its day. Earlier in my life, I regarded it as the source of truth and bastion of unbias reporting (well, sort of as it was always a bit up itself) but over the last 10 years or so I find myself watching the ABC less and less because in my opinion, it appears to be a mouthpiece for extreme leftist views that goes against what I considered to be traditional Australian values. I don’t know who is pushing this agenda, or why, but I don’t believe the ABC can be trusted anymore. Journalism is supposed to be an unbiased record of an event, but nowadays it appears that opinions matter more, and such articles get more prominence. I take offence at articles that tell me “what I need to know” about such and such – its as if I’m too stupid or ignorant to make up my own mind

What ever happened to critical thinking? Not everything stated in the media is true…in fact the first question we need to ask ourselves when given information is: ‘Is this true’? School would be a good place to learn how to debate these issues along with how attitudes and and persuasion work.

Absolutely true & correct. I have 4 secondary school teachers in my family, both male & female. Unanimously they agree that the “dumbing down”of our young people both at school & University is leading to (or led to) an abscense of the ability to critically appraise subjects touted by others as “settled” or factual or without error or ommission.Revisionist history & the dismantling of western democracy appear to be high on the agenda.

    Dear Malcolm,

Please note the ABC had the courtesy to offer their apology for the error / mistake.

Have you ever offered an apology for your misleading and unscientific denial of Global Warming / Climate Change?

    Cheers,
    Col

When I read your comment the old saying comes to mind again. You can lead a horse to water!!!! Global Warming, one of the biggest cons on the planet right next to this Covid vaccination garbage. We all should learn from history. Since day dot Governments all over the world have a perfect track record of lies and deceit, and you still choose to believe what’s being fed to you by these parasites. Malcolm Roberts is one of the very few politicians who’s going to give you the plain hard facts.

        Paul,
I hope you remain covid free.

Global Warming as a scam ! Really?

The largest problem are climate change deniers..
They appear to have no appreciation of genuine scientific investigations and concentrate on conspiracy theories.

I have on several occasions asked Malcolm to explain the Greenhouse Effect but no reply as yet.

        Cheers,

I agree with you Col .. but I used to watch ABC constantly, not now. It has gone too left for me. I have even stopped watching parliament house, not now. Too left and too many lies. I hope ABC gets back on track and soon. Opposition is building.

        Hi Carolyn,

You could always start agitating for ABC funding to be restored as before Tony Abbot’s “no cuts to the ABC” comments.

Col, there is a mass of scientific evidence that Global Warming/Climate Change caused by CO2 is wrong. For hundreds, thousands and millions of years the evidence shows that there is NO correlation between CO2 and temperature levels. No correlation, no causation. I have Professor Ian Plimer’s book, Heaven + Earth which thoroughly demolishes the false climate claims in 500 pages with frequent citations of peer reviewed papers to back his case .In the 30 years I have been following this issue I have seen no scientific evidence to back the scare campaign. Unvallidated, proven wrong, computer models are not evidence.

      Col says:

      Hi Clive,
      Caution.
Many people in the scientific fraternity have thoroughly demolished Ian Plimer’s claims in “Heaven and Earth”.
I watched a TV interview in which he was asked about the hottest year to date (I will check which year) his reply was “the year is not over yet”.
There was a whole fortnight to go.
Another comment re origin of the measured increase of atmospheric CO2.
His reply. From all the, as yet UNDISCOVERED, undersea volcanoes.
One would expect better from a trained Geologist.

      Two things need consideration.

ONE The increasing level of atmospheric CO2 is MEASURED. Global and oceanic temperatures are rising as MEASURED.
The mechanism of CO2 as a greenhouse gas (there are others) has been MEASURED and UNDERSTOOD.

TWO. Where were all the people, mines, heavy industry, extensive use of fossil fuels etc hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Anthropogenic Global Warming is geologically a rather recent event over the last 150 years or so.
In other words, the past as hundreds of thousands of years ago, cannot be compared to today as there are TOO MANY DIFFERENCES.

      Cheers,
      Col
