So claiming a pension is an "embarrassing admission of poverty"? How much more self entitled can you political animals get. Do they care about the "real" people? People that have done an honest 45 years work, payed all their taxes and get the big "up yours" when they arrive in their senior years. Yet your perks continue loooooong after you leave office.... So the reality is this: The Politicians in power are changing the Pension Assets Test for everyone in Australia except themselves. This will negatively affect everyone who thought they had enough to retire on. It will also affect disability pensions, widow pensions and more. They are thinking of scrapping the Seniors Card. The Pension Assets Test was implemented on 1 January 2017. So here's fair warning to all politicians of any persuasion, this group of aged voters may be about to make the greatest impact on any Federal election in history, ignoring them may be the start of a changed political environment in this country. Change the Entitlements I absolutely agree, if a pension isn't an entitlement, neither is theirs. They keep telling us that paying us an aged pension isn't sustainable. Paying politicians all the perks they get is even less sustainable! The politicians themselves, in Canberra, brought it up, that the Age of Entitlements is over: The author is asking if you agree to this to copy and post this note on their facebook page.This is one idea that really should be passed around because the rot has to stop somewhere. Proposals to make politicians shoulder their share of the weight now that the Age of Entitlement is over: 1. Scrap political pensions. Politicians can purchase their own retirement plan, just as most other working Australians are expected to do. 2. Retired politicians (past, present & future) participate in Centrelink. A Politician collects a substantial salary while in office but should receive no salary when they're out of office. Terminated politicians under 70 can go get a job or apply for Centrelink unemployment benefits like ordinary Australians. Terminated politicians under 70 can negotiate with Centrelink like the rest of the Australian people. 3. Funds already allocated to the Politicians' retirement fund be returned immediately to Consolidated Revenue. This money is to be used to pay down debt they created which they expect us and our grandchildren to repay for them. 4. Politicians will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Politicians pay will rise by the lower of, either the CPI or 3%. 5. Politicians lose their privileged health care system and participate in the same health care system as ordinary Australian people. I.E. Politicians either pay for private cover from their own funds or accept ordinary Medicare. 6. Politicians must equally abide by all laws they impose on the Australian people. 7. All contracts with past and present Politicians men/women are void as of 30 June The Australian people did not agree to provide perks to Politicians, that burden was thrust upon them. Politicians devised all these contracts to benefit themselves. Serving in Parliament is an honour not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so our politicians should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work. If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people, then it will only take three or so days for most Australians to receive the message. Don't you think it's time? To all those who want accountability start the court cases, oh wait they own the courts, so I guess only one option is actually left to you then, common law and it's protections for those acting on it and on behalf of those being victimised, but hey we've all seen how pansy arsed Australia has really become and we all know no one is gonna step up and take the lives of the parliament even with legal backing, just takes to much time and effect for to little reward is the reality, one or two sure but 200 or more and then you have to plan and be there at the right time, touch hard work and now ones gonna waste that much time. But hey you all let it get this way by bowing at the start and letting them have their way back when Howard was in with GST since then it's just been tax after tax. So shut up none of you stand alone and can say you have opposed the dictatorship that is government

I volunteered tirelessly as the only volunteer in Warwick for 10-12 hours a day throughout the pre-poll and polling day. I won a lot of undecided votes for People First, but to be honest the freedom friendly parties that were supposed to be united in our goals put on a disgraceful show in the middle of pre-poll losing votes for all freedom friendly parties. All of the freedom parties contributed to this disgusting lack of unity and petty squabbling, including you, Senator Malcolm Roberts. I have a lot of respect for all you have done for freedom in Australia but you along with leadership in all the minor parties dropped the ball at the most critical stage of an election. The end result is we now have a completely Labor controlled upper & lower house, the freedom movement has suffered a huge setback. While I know this wasn't the intention, all minor party leaders MUST reflect and LEARN from it, and hopefully Australia survives the next 3 years so we can come back stronger and wiser!

You got my vote , hoping you and your team are returned to the senate.

I was true to my word and put One Nation first and Labor then Greens last, very happy that Adam Bandt lost his seat but disappointed overall with the outcome.

Your welcome Senator Malcolm Roberts , we need to make One Nation a genuine third party in the political landscape A true centre right , conservative party just like we see with with Reform UK. Reform UK will win the next general election the UK as the British public realise they can't go on with the duopoly of Labor and Tories of last 80 years, both parties no real answers for UKs huge problems.

Was at a booth next to your son and daughter and they did a great job handing out for you and One Nation. You must be so proud of them. Fine young people.

Well those that were able to!! I personally only delivered postal votes to people in nw qld as a mail contractor on thursday prior to election so those people that are to busy keeping the country going did not get a voice and i would like to know why the AEC only posted at the the last minute as most people who were concerned of not receiving earlier had also applied at an early time !!
