Any way of saving money in our everyday life is welcome. But here's a few things that would save monies: 1. Get rid of the pension given to politicians after serving. 2. Stop sending taxpayers money to other countries. 3. Stop paying the 3 letter unelected organisations. 4. Make sure foreign companies pay the tax due for profits in this country. I think this would bring billions into our coiffers.

Alcohol ruins lives, and a relatively high cost is a deterrent as well as being an "externality" internalization mechanism.

fuel is grossly over priced ,excise, gst at several levels and pumps not checked often enough meaning that we don't get what we pay for tax officers should come around and check if the volume dispensed is the same as on the display, personaly I feel that too many pumps are not correctly calibrated

The alcohol excise isn't as big as you make it out to be. If one can still buy a slab of beer for under $60, it means a beer is circa $2.50 each. And yet you buy that same beer in a pub, it's $12.50. That $10 price difference is the cost of employing people, and running the pub, not the alcohol excise. The same with fuel excise, basically all you are saying is that you are promising shittier roads for Australians. All talk, no plan whatsoever.
