I’ve just returned from South America - they are very cash driven which is good to see.
Small businesses doing it tough, am paying cash wherever possible. Governments are throwing taxpayers money at useless projects like $100 million road upgrade to PM'S holiday home and criminal entities like the UN/WHO/Hamas.
Banks at work gouging people again
Well done Warwick Hotel, I hope other hotels follow your lead.
cash is expensive Direct: This included the cost of having the money collected or provided by cash-in-transit businesses like Armaguard. Indirect: This is related to instruments needed for physical money like a cash register, as well as issues relating to the transaction (for example, employee theft, cash handling errors, fraud, or other keying errors during the check-out process). Back-office: These stem from the work required to reconcile payments (such as invoice reconciliation, cash register preparation, and depositing money into the bank). all these added costs are passed onto the consumer
Grrrrr sick of greedy banks and hardly any atms
Many of my customers who are hotels, restaurants and in retail have now decided to implement a EFTPOS surcharge due to their impost. They usually do an average across all the different card types whilst still staying within the ACCC rulings. Some of them are also implementing a public surcharge. As long as it is noted at the payment terminal, customers have the choice.
My local butcher has a sign in his shop saying CASH IS KING and I always pay cash whenever I can at places where I shop. I despise when you go through a drive through and they shove the tap and go machine in your face and when you tell them you are paying cash, they give you a strange look. Same as I some shops.
The most stupid post ever. Why don't they charge cash users extra for the counting of tills, the cost of a safe, the transporting of cash to the bank, the extra security that is paid for keeping cash on the property. None of the major retailers etc charge extra for using card, because it's an insignificant cost when compared to the handling of cash. Anyone who thinks a retailer charging a "card cost" is based on extra costs is just stupid, and may as well just be telling the retailer to rip them off. It's stupidity at its best.
Cash for me
I dont charge a ser charge on cards and it cost me just under $1000.00 a month in fees prics i do all the work and have to pay for the EPTPOS machine fees to
Many places are doing this now. As a business it’s really part of a fee you have when owning a business. Banks are now charging too much, so i guess cash is king again.
It is the job of the government to intervene in cases like this,if anyone chooses not to accept cash, then they must be told that they cannot charge fees,as it was THEIR CHOICE. Same with Banks,if they keep removing ATM'S and keep closing Branches, then all cards must be fee free, and mandated by the government. (One can only hope 🙏🙏🙏)
I think it is more to do with who owns the venue than the credit card companies increasing fees.
Lets just go to full cash society where no tax is collected and we live like a third world country with no health system, goverment services or pensions. Wouldn't that be great.
There comes a time in Business you cant keep absorbing cost rises. Insurance, Rates,Excise duty, workcover, Gas, Power the list goes on and on.
Our butcher in Turramurra prefers cash. That’s how we pay.
Carry cash ..the banks with their billion dollar profits need go
Then use cash.. its the banks charging it not the hotel!
I would charge more for using card . Make it so cash is cheaper . Tight arses love that shite.
Wasn’t that long ago, we had a Royal commission into the way banks do business What a waste of time n money that royal commission was Malcolm Turdball n Scumdog were in charge n both are pathetic
Good on you Warwick Hotel 👍👏
The charges sure are getting high. 👍We still don’t charge the customer and take cash 💵
The banks are digging their own graves by doing this. People will realise eventually
Surprisingly lately politicians have started to notice normal people things
One Nation's alcohol excise removal will put more money back in your pocket, encourage social responsible consumption and stimulate the hospitality sector which is in big trouble.
The federal alcohol excise (a tax) will be cut from any drink served in a licensed venue, knocking the price of your drink down so that you can grab a beer with some mates without breaking the bank.
We'll also be cutting 26c a litre off fuel by reducing that tax, reducing power bills by 20% and allowing families to file joint tax returns saving $10,000 a year.
Unlike other parties, One Nation has detailed how we will pay for this with $90 billion in waste and duplication savings we've identified in the budget, including abolishing $30 billion in Climate Change policies
One Nation will put more money back in your pocket.

Alcohol is not an essential. There is bigger costs of living that need to be reduced.
It won't work you have to drop it at the sorce , as a lot of licence places buy there grog from the same place the average Australian buys it so if you don't drop it at its sorce only big company's will win and they won't drop there prices if there is no competition around
Any way of saving money in our everyday life is welcome. But here's a few things that would save monies: 1. Get rid of the pension given to politicians after serving. 2. Stop sending taxpayers money to other countries. 3. Stop paying the 3 letter unelected organisations. 4. Make sure foreign companies pay the tax due for profits in this country. I think this would bring billions into our coiffers.
Excise raises millions of dollars, how do you intend to replace that money.
What's the actual argument for lowering the prices of alcohol? Ever heard about the law of supply and demand? For a "normal good", a reduction in price dictates an increase in demand. No amount of alcohol is safe - ask any dental specialist worth its salt. They will discourage the use of alcohol containing mouth wash. Also, if the prospect a getting a few beers with mate, has the potential of breaking the bank, then it's likely the case that one should really focus on other priorities. I remember in recent years, One Nation had a bottle of whiskey for sale to raise funds for the campaign. Why this focus on lowering barriers to access alcohol? Alcohol ruins lives, and a relatively high cost is a deterrent as well as being an "externality" internalization mechanism.
Do it all we have to do is get in!
fuel is grossly over priced ,excise, gst at several levels and pumps not checked often enough meaning that we don't get what we pay for tax officers should come around and check if the volume dispensed is the same as on the display, personaly I feel that too many pumps are not correctly calibrated
why wouldn't your party cut the full excise from fuel we over paid way too much for fuel it should only be 97c not the price we pay now and all pollies should cut their pay in half they get overpaid for what they do they rip people off left right and centre stop the pension that pollies get too they dont need a pension they are multimillionaires they dont need to take any money from the people
Unfortunately we have a small population with big public expenditure needs. Taxes, private and foreign investment are required.
Hi Malcolm my name is Terry Chambers you sent me a member ship application I followed the instructions but nothing has happened cheers Terry
None of those savings will be passed down to the consumer.
We need to get rid of the excise on chicken parmys too.
Cut the tax completely on Australian beer brewed right here locally, with 100% local ingredients. Leave the rest as is. This will ensure support for the Aussie product resulting in more jobs and customers all round. Simple.
We got a shock when we had lunch at Caffee Primo last week, 2 meals and 2 bottles of beer, 89 Dollars, WOW, sorry 85 Dollars
SUBMISSION TO QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT TO SHUT DOWN LIVE CATTLE EXPORTS Anthony Perrett MP Queensland Minister for Primary Industries Good morning Minister, You would be aware of how Live Cattle Exports wiped out cattle processing in northern Oz because it included the Meatworks at Maryborough. Now we have Kimberley cattle processing in Victoria & cattle going from the Gulf to Darling Downs feedlots then to processor then as meat to Darwin, We also have the 50 % Wagyu cattle being bred on leasehold land then doing 400 days unmonitored for cruelty in self regulated southern Oz feedlots : example CPC,s Wrotham Park north west of Chillagoe, We now have concentrated processing ownership attached to feedlotting in southern Oz some processors facing Fraud & underpaying employees charges in USA. That the AACo is struggling to sell their mothballed processing plant is evidence that processing is not viable in northern Oz without shutting down Live Cattle Exports. Also obvious is that the increasing demand for the lean healthy Goat meat & the sustainability of goats makes obvious the need for processing in northern OZ. The Uni of Boulder Colorado has linked grain fed animal fat to Stress. Oz has 5m cattle coming out of feedlots yearly. The Brahaman cattle of northern OZ have the lean 90CL in demand meat ; Vietnam has just built a modern processing plant : in 2019 the Oz Govt increased the Live Weight specification for Live Cattle Exports & OZ had the most expensive cattle in the world . The Oz consumer is subsidizing the export of value adding jobs while consuming unhealthy grain Fed Beef that is not labeled "Grain Fed " .Even Gina Reinhart agrees that investment to restore processing to northern OZ will not come without first closing down Live Cattle Exports. The ball is in your court. I have written to the Qld Minister for Water regarding the criminal no allocation releases from Tinaroo Dam /Taxpayer scamming by the Cairns Council Cheers Don Stewart
Lyn Smith So you still think it’s his problem that he has? Stfu! He’s a Freemason. Go look on google. While you lot have been hobbling up his bullshit and all his shill gang mates. Monica Smitt, avi, ruckscam, and topher field who are all actors, I’ve been looking very deep into these peoples back grounds and you have the nerve to question and deny. Yet everyone knows most if not all politicians are lodge attendees or duel citizenship with Israel and as I have started before Zionism and freemasonry are one in the same. Malcolm has been doing this long before he got the wobbles Anyway you keep being deceived by the colour associated with mind control, Orange, which like One Nation = 33 in ancient language called Gematria. 33 levels in freemasonry. Monarch Butterfly you see celebrities have tattoo of, is orange, and the butterfly represents mk ultras mind control. Watch the tv like you probably do, an look how many people do it. Look how many people do the devil hands 🤘👌 and the 666. This is then shoving it in your face telling you who their master is. Just because you people don’t comprehend they worship Satan, and in freemasonry Lucifer is their god, the light bearer. That’s why New York has a statue with a light bearer. New York is named after and became the New York right of freemasonry after it dispersed from the uk.
what about tobacco .. the government have made an income from that .. nearly $80 for a 25 gram packet .. $100 for packet 50 cigarettes .. obscene ..
Touch'e
You are just telling lies. You want thr government to lose billions of dollars a year, and yet you can't say where you will make up that shortfall. The alcohol excise isn't as big as you make it out to be. If one can still buy a slab of beer for under $60, it means a beer is circa $2.50 each. And yet you buy that same beer in a pub, it's $12.50. That $10 price difference is the cost of employing people, and running the pub, not the alcohol excise. The same with fuel excise, basically all you are saying is that you are promising shittier roads for Australians. All talk, no plan whatsoever.
Australia has a pretty decent drinking problem. How about knocking back the tolls? I dare you Senator Malcolm Roberts to take on transurban
Promoting grog? Welcome back to the 70's!!
Who cares about alcoholwhat about fuel food and everything els get rid of taxes on those
Nothing on tobacco , alcohol on the other hand , I can just see it now , cheaper alcohol = more violence , more court appearances, I'm not being negative Nancy here just pointing out the possibilities, look at the social demographics of the youth etc , policies such as luxury car tax should be abolished, we have no automotive sector anymore , and so on ,
Under the One Nation plan, anyone that owns residential property yet isn't an Australian citizen or permanent resident, will be given two years to sell their property back to an Australian. The two-year grace period will ensure there isn't a flood of properties onto the housing market.
Let's get Australians into affordable houses while keeping the market sound.

As far as I know Australia is the only country in the world that allows foreigners to own land, every other country you have to be a national of that country to actually buy land. But you can own the buildings etc condo's, apartments. They do this so it doesn't take it out of the reach of nationals of affordability, the nationals in most cases can afford land not like here
I’d like to see more rules put on China that clear land deforest it send our animals to there wet markets they use land and water here to use for beef farming for there own country ! And they don’t care what they do to this land !!! Needs to be a stop on that they are the largest in the world ! We pay threw the nose for meat lots can’t afford to buy it and lots suffer malnutrition in the process !! Diet disorders diseases from not being able to eat right .
Vote for one Nation and the miner parties at least they are on the side of the Australian people.
It doesn't matter whether it's Albanese or Dutton. I'm 76 years of age. And I have witnessed the politicians all over the world wreck economies .start wars . Force their laws on the people. Stop free speech. Lock people up for peacefully protesting. My parents bought a house in a metropolitan area for 500 pounds in 1946 now that house is worth 3 million dollars. I bought my first home for 10 thousand dollars, now that house is worth 1 point 3 million dollars. Interes rates were as high as 17 % and even a factory worker on one wage could afford to buy a house. And now these lying politicians are telling us that the inflation rate under their watch is only 2.4% cotton wool buds haven't gone up ,but everything else has .. All politicians have ever done is make life harder for everyone else other than themselves. Excluding the rich and those who pay little or no tax at all . Leaving it up to the poor and middle class to pay for everything, through greedy taxes . These criminals tax you when you're born ,and now they are imposing an inheritance tax on you when you die . And let's not forget the funeral tax .
No. It needs to be no overseas investors can buy Australian properties
Go Senator Malcolm Robert’s 😁 Listen to him We are at break! As Australians. No more immigrants, help us’ Australians first ‘ No more Please 🙏🏼
Chinese just use an Australian Citizen relative's name.
You mostly have good ideas, this is one of them.
They're pretty sneaky, having it in a 3rd parties name,
It's maybe a little tough but after what I have been subjected to so far in my life. Not that bad.
One Nation always brings up the real problems that effect all Australians and hopefully will be voted in.
400000 foreign owned homes in Australia thats just homes not farms and land whats wrong with this country .we should be outraged but no lots have a investment property. just like our politicians so Australians wont hurt own there pockets. See how it get protection from change.
What is the consequences of failing the 2 year buy back?
Great idea.Lets hope the sheep are waking up.
What a fantastic common sense approach to right the ship !
Is one nation giving their preference to ?? Does anyone know? Tks
And NZ blithely skipping down the same negative route. We need a Malcolm Roberts in NZ, a politician who has the best interests of NZers at heart.
This not a good idea .you only have to ensure their houses are not left vacant!
Does that mean that, after my 45 years of work, I might get a chance of owning my first home? Oh, for joy for joy!
Probably better to do it in one fell swoop and let the market rediscover its true price. But either way, your policy is the only one with courage.
Maybe a flood of homes for sale would be a great idea. The prices would fall a bit and be more reasonable for people to buy…
Good idea! And let's have the Aussies abroad given the same terms with their properties in other countries.
GOOD! Get rid of this shambles in housing! Fix it at its core, scarcity!
All non resi had to supposedly pay an extra tax when they were buying here. So many are way smarter than our useless goverment and will have trusts or titles changed to a relative name. How on earth are they going to police this? ?
One Nation has my Vote
BREAKING: YouTube has suddenly banned me from uploading, posting or live streaming for two weeks
The reason given is dozens of videos, some more than 6 months old, that have only now been flagged as an issue.
This includes multiple videos calling for a COVID Royal Commission.
Thank you for meme, David
I co-signed the Digital ID Repeal Bill alongside Senators Antic, Babet, Canavan, Hanson and Rennick, which was introduced into the Senate earlier today.
