Just like recently passed rules to ban social media from an age group down. Parents need to make these decisions and guide their children's choices not the government. Covid shut down gave them too much power.

I am curious. I have read our constitution, nowhere does it enshrine ‘freedom of speech’, only freedom of thought’. It does refer to the USA FoS, but only as an example. Odd! Isn’t it weird that it refers only to ‘thought’. It implies that you can think what you like, but if you say it aloud then your not protected by our constitution and open to being charged or whatever. Just say. F#€£ the Mis/Dis Bill!!

Apparently Germany already has the digital ID for everyone 16 and over to use social media. So our government has been given orders from high up to implement it. Australians need to push back and tell these global elites to get lost.

why was there only 24hrs allowed to make a submission. This is undemocratic and there should be a 28 day minimum for any bill that is put before the parliament for the public to comment. On this alone the bill should be binned. People are waking up and Australia will see a MAGA style of backlash at the voting polls come next election reflective of the disregard by certain politicians who fail to listen to public sentiment and have lost touch in their WEF echo chamber. Australia does not need nor want a WEF style Digital ID to be tracked and traced like criminals… Also Those pushing this bill forget that those teens that will be banned (if the bill passes) from the internet who have had access to the internet till now will remember the betrayal and disempowerment they will feel when they are cut off from social media… They in a few short years will become the voting public… They will remember when they go to vote who took their digital freedoms away…

Just curious on what level of data and access will the digital ID get back from Web sites? How much information will they capture? I would assume very basic, but the government's patterns of behaviour have me questioning this.

Social media will pull out of Australia if this bill passes, government putting the responsibility on them to ensure no under 16's are on their platforms (which is explicitly out layed in their terms and conditions) They will shut down Australian connection to their platform.
