Well here’s a basic economic concept that it seems you and most of your audience don't understand. Having any level of inflation means the cost of things is always going up. When inflation falls, the rate at which things increase in cost slows. Lower inflation doesn't mean costs stop going up, the costs just go up at a slower rate. Deflation seems awesome (prices going down) except for the fact it eventually affects demand and then employment and economic growth. You don’t actually want those things. This is why the RBA has a target range for inflation around 2%. It’s a delicate balance. Of course if wages growth (in a sustainable manner) isn’t also happening, you have a problem too. We’ve recently had at least a decade of that problem which has finally eased in the last couple of years
