It’s like they wanted and are slowly going, is putting digital meters on the water supply to your house. They say for more accurate reading, but at a moments notice, or a bill doesn’t get paid, or whatever reason they want, can simply and remotely, turn of your supply

I have a friend that lives in Port Welshpool Vic and they have been having their power in that area cut off every time it gets hot or cold . It’s so other areas can use the power. They have a wind farm at their back door and all the power from them goes to Melbourne. Yesterday her power went off at about three in the arvo and a notice from her power provider said it won’t be back on until 7 am. Are we living in a third world country?? What’s next cutting off our water ?? Never in all my years have I ever know distruptions to power supplies unless it’s storm related. That you can accept but cutting off your power to take the load off , totally unacceptable 😡😡🐴

This is the primary reason why we turned down the smartmeter ‘upgrade’. I told anyone who’d listen (which was no one) that this is what they’d eventually do, but alas, people have to learn the hard way. I might have to start padlocking the meter box so it doesn’t get upgraded by ‘accident’.

We didn’t even have a choice. But while the east coast ‘swelters’ in 36 degree heat, those of us in the outback are persevering in 40 - 45 degree heat. Whom gets to decide who gets the power. We have the solar factories and the gas fields, so we deserve the fruits of our labour.

I have contacted my energy company, (Ergon), and refused consent to install a smart meter. They were excellent and have cancelled the order.
