I agree if there is any wrong doing start at the top, and by the top is the politicians that first sent them, and from the top ranks that always protect their careers. This has to come from the top. I worked in an organisation that promoted those who threw others under the bus. When you’d see a high rank you’d automatically assume they’ll throw you under the bus too so you avoided them like the plague. I’m guessing that the military works the same. Not that they’d give a rats what I think but I absolutely support our defence force in every capacity.

I’m sorry but what has been done to these service personal is down right treasonous, it’s that simple. They were fighting an insurgent force where literally anyone could be a combatant. That includes woman and children either through free will or coerced. And no I don’t believe we should have gone to these conflicts, just like I don’t believe we should be in Ukraine!. But having put our personal in that situation and then to turn around and knit pick decisions made in a split second is completely unacceptable. None of us will ever know what the situation was actually like as we weren’t there !!!!!!.

Just wondering if anyone has made you aware that many special forces troops have "gun cams"? This is so if there was some type of an incident there would be covering your backside video footage. If the said footage was deleted or lost someone would have some serious explaining to do. Unlike the American forces, Australian troops do not routinely have embedded journalists attached to their units. Troops with "Gun cams" should be easy to verify by speaking to SF personnel that saw frontline service in recent conflicts.

Brereton is the spineless one that should be brought to task for his defamation of the armed forces. And have his pension taken from him.

There’s plenty in the Military and the Government who should hang their heads in shame on Anzac Day and every other day for that matter.
