What many don't comprehend about these Tariffs, is the reason why it is Paramount that Trump needs to lead the way to set a Global Standard, and to give you an Analogy on a smaller scale, not unlike countries the local people of a town or minor city will flourish, if the business is kept localised, and the only real reason for that to not occur, is lack of supply for the required demand, or not sufficient satisfactory Service or product Quality, or are clearly overcharging as opposed to the alternative non local whom are still making a good honest profit, and depending on what service you are seeking. But let's say staggered towns started receiving backhanders to lower their prices to rates that would drive their adjoining towns or small cities businesses broke, and that with peoples wages barely covering the cost of living, so without choice but to choose outside non local alternative services, or buy their products out of cost preference, leaving the local businesses unable to make ends meet, and for a short time before they fold, attempting to further drive up their own costs, in a desperate attempt to tread water, which only ends up sinking them quicker. And this is the Communist Agenda, so on the larger Global scale, this same Nefarious Agenda driven plan has been in full Swing, and here we know it as the Fraudulent Free Trade Agreement. So what is happening is Deep State Affiliated Companies are dangling the carrots to buy the resources of other Countries over giving preference to what they already have plenty of, and do so by offering considerable cost percentage marginal savings, and of course the first to take the offer of supply would be the Deep State Affiliated Companies, in order to cause the Trend and financially stimulate the cause. Then the companies not Affiliated to the Deep State are forced to follow trend to keep their heads above water and also buy overseas products/resources even Services, which their own Country already has plenty of, and once that forced Trend is in motion, the lower costs of the Foreign supplies that they seek ends up costing those involved in the Labour of Mining, Manufacturing, Providing them driving down Wages/Salaries, and inflating the market, whilst the Deep State Affiliated Companies reel in Billions and boast about it, selling off at a steal the all born to the Countries collectively owned resources, in a Heist that slips the eyes and or Comprehension of most. And all in a bid to drive the independent private Companies completely out of Business, to them force those who have lost their jobs, to have to seek employment with the same Deep State competitors, that worked craftily to financially destroy the Companies they had relied upon. Countries with the most resources to be the target of this Agenda, and due to our very low population per land mass, seen as an easy target to infiltrate and conquer, then once those that have lost their jobs and accepted a lesser salary wage begin to slowly have no choice in order to keep their heads above water, and note the (maritime) saying as they identify you as lost at Sea; (In order to keep their heads above Water). Then they continue to drop the wages and Salaries, and play Theatre by short term lay off periods claiming shortage of work, which then used to Justify asking for them to accept a pay cut to stay, then re hiring the ones you laid off, only under the new lesser rates, claiming a sudden burst in demand, then over the years repeating the same process, so as no one catches onto what they are doing. And this is how they try to sneak in the New World Order one World Government Mentally ill Agenda.

I'd rather help pay for four clean coal plants, which will last my kids lives, and probably kill 300 birds. Than keep paying for and servicing new solar turbines (slated for each state) they want to add to the existing 6500 we all currently service. Which will only last 14 years, and need to be buried and replaced. Killing all the birds while wrecking pristine habitats with roads and concrete. It's not rocket science being Green.....

I find it ridiculous that the costs are in the billions. I would like to see a genuine cost estimate, showing material, labour, construction etc, to see where these "billions" are being spent.

Exactly and we are worried about Americas trade tariffs . We have very little manufacturing nowadays and our government does not look after our beef and lamb producers a decent government would do what Trump is doing and look after their tax payers

Yes, they can talk any figure they like. However, ask them for the cost breakdown for their estimate. Only then can you truly find the holes in their estimates. Almost guaranteed that their estimate is as good as their quote for a $275 reduction in household electricity bills.

That's without thr costs associated with changing the distribution system from AC to DC, that is an unknown billions. When will there be adults in government?

Next time ask how long the renewables plan is supposed to support the new infrastructure before it needs upgrading or replacing.. I think batteries are about 10 years and the solar and wind turbines are around 20 years is a very small timeframe compared to the transition to Nuclear which will last 80 years plus..imagine the cost over 80 years if we just pursue renewables 🤦🏼‍♀️
