The GBR has died off and recovered 6 times and is 100's metres deep. Change is happening all the time and everywhere. Tourism traffic has also impacted some areas as does the weather.

I went to the outer reef last year and the marine biologist said that the coral was in the best condition its ever been in.

Aims accidentally let it slip a few years ago that it was doing just fine.
