Agreed. Why can't we put solar panel roofs over the massive amount of carparks throughout the country. Gives people some shade/shelter to park their cars, and provides electricity to the grid................oh, but that would be asking big corporations to actually do some of what they preach to us to do. Just like a-list celebrities coming on TV and telling us we should donate money to various charities, but they themselves don't do it. Hypocrisy is rife global.

Senator Malcolm Roberts It doesn't make any sense to dedicate fertile farmland solely to solar power generation when we have so many rooftops and non-agricultural desert areas where it is a no brainer to install. The only effective way it can be installed sensibly on farmland is through agrivoltaics where it can be custom setup to improve crop productivity by providing shade, reduces heat stress, decreases water evaporation in arid areas, and reduces frost damage in crops where that would help to increase yield. The farmer can also make some money through power generation and lowering their energy costs. That is the only context where it makes sense on agricultural land and outside of that they should be applied in other areas.

Illegal immigration is a symptom of over governance and excessive taxation. Instead of governing harder, it would be best to come to an agreement with neighboring countries to reduce the restrictions and requirements, to allow freedom of movement. Countries can still control, the requirements for citizenship for those that want to stay.
