This is disgusting while these politicians carry on backwards and forwards selling us down the river everyday Australians are suffering. Now my partner and I witnessed this first hand only yesterday at royal Darwin Hospital after 20 hours of labour and giving birth to my dead son. We are provided social worker now this social worker I'm not sure what country they are from showed very little compassion or understanding had very little information other than to tell me and my partner that we had to find out own way to get our son our dead son to a crematorium to be cremated.. now please people try and understand this situation you go to hospital Friday last scans everything is fine heartbeat fine growth fine 38 weeks talk to come in the following Wednesday to be induced. I need to find our son at full term I had no heartbeat. Now after all that traumatic emotional turmoil we get that information dropped on us I want to know how anybody thinks that this is okay here in Australia anybody could not find this absolutely disgusting and wrong. There are so many issues in Australia and here in the northern territory that really need to be addressed. Like housing anywhere else in Australia is too cold so they're recommend have to be a heater here in Darwin it is so hot do you think they have to provide an air conditioner no not one and they don't. But then expected kids to go to school and learn to be the next generation that helps build this country how can you do that when it's so hot kids can't go to sleep to two three four o'clock in the morning but then have to get up at 7 to go and do a full day of school. It's just makes no sense

This is of great concern to all Australian's, best is to be cautious any of these current imports & avoid all dealings with this type.

Considering their degrees are recognised as equivalent how come so many are cashiers or proprieters of 7'11, servos, tobacconists, lotto agents, the corner grocers and of course trolly boys? It's because these jobs and businesses provide the maximum return for the indolence of sitting on your arse all day.

It stinks. I've worked with so called overseas skilled workers. Most of them have no skills at all. It's very hard to train someone how to do the job when they don't speak or understand English. Then there's the ones that pretend they don't understand especially when hard work is involved

There is not even mutual recognition between states if you want to teach in the state that live in when you trained in another states. So many hoops to jump through. Mutual recognition between countries should be very carefully monitored.

Simple, if their qualifications are up tp scratch, they will have no trouble passing an entry exam to be able to work here.

Australia can’t even come up with uniform car rego or road rules between states!! Each state just has to have its own fancy rules!! We have no hope of collaborating with another country on anything.

We don’t buy our diplomas or degrees in Australia and to except mutual recognition from India where qualifications are $bought$ is criminal and disgraceful. IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.

The influx of third world workers mainly affects the lower socio-economic long term residents of Australia. So why should Labor or liberal even care ? The more they let in , the easier it is to control services . Indians and the like will not be joining unions or striking any time soon . This is very true, but I wonder how many years of college the current group of state and federal politicians cheated through....I mean went for their degrees? A side note: My husband is a US citizen and Australia doesn't recognize any of his higher learning or skills. They didn't even recognize our marriage certificate from the US, seems a bit odd coming from a 1st world nation to a first world nation.

Investigate the institutions. Award accreditation as needs. It's bullshit to treat highly qualified immigrants so poorly.

Ask them why indian nurses are coming to Australia via NZ, after staying in NZ for a few months they're sent to Australia. Can barely speak English
