Australia has the largest amount of money (wasted) on intermittent renewables in our history, the most wind and solar feeding into the grid in history, and what is the result? Skyrocketing power prices and risk of blackouts! Ditch wind and solar subsidies. Bring back cheap, reliable power.

I agree with the poster, I don’t believe it is wise to use the government to force these things through, the government is poor at spending money. It should be allowed to happen naturally as that is what humans do, we improve over time. There is no real emergency we have plenty of time. Power should be cheap for us in the “lucky country” not everyone is coping well with the run away inflation and rising energy prices and to be honest at this point it all seems by design. Innovation will come as it always does. Carbon is required for life to flourish on earth, we need brave scientists to speak the truth, but then they will loose it all. These global agendas are despicable and tire a good man’s soul.
The disappointing thing is you try and do your bit and install Solar Panels and all you get is a measly 6.7 cents and now being reduced to 5.4 cents in Victoria on the feed in tariff. What a joke our politicians are way out of touch with things and living in their own little career bubbles, what do they care they serve a term or two and get their big fat pensions for doing absolutely nothing. We need real people on the task not idiots who are in it for personal gain. Oh and maybe something should be done about the monopoly that’s going on with the huge political donations these big corporations make to sway and influence government decisions on these matters. Mining companies don’t want to pay more tax just as much as power companies don’t want renewable energy. The problem is our governments have sold us out privatized things that should never have been sold off how do you tell these private companies how much money they should be making from us? Then you get all these energy saving devices thrown at us again at the tax payers expense to help us save on power bills and the power companies see loss in revenue and put up their prices its like a dog chasing it’s own tail, it’s criminal to say the least. Australia should be a world leader in renewables instead we are far from it.
